Breathtaking Perspectives: 367 House Overlooking Cordoba, Argentina

Located in the city of Mendiolaza and overlooking Cordoba in Argentina, 367 House by architect Mateo Ponce de León offers breathtaking perspectives. The L-shaped residence (photographed by Gonzalo Viramonte) is composed of two juxtaposed prisms: “In one of the volumes is where social life happens, it has an open plan and a big transparent area which faces north. It flies over the site integrating itself to the landscape. Structurally it is sustained by four concrete columns and inverted beams of big dimensions in order to achieve that four meters cantilever, which creates a double height space over the main courtyard”, the architect explained. The residence features three levels, divided in these two perpendicular wings.

The second volume accommodates private spaces and is partially buried in the ground. Its rooftop is used as an expansion of the social areas and has parking space for two cars. A concrete bridge connects this terrace with the hillside behind. “The combination of open, partially covered and covered spaces plus double heights make this house flexible, fluid and in constant contact with the environment,” added Ponce de León.
