Modern Czech Home Is Both Open and Private

JVArchitekt designed this modern home in Olomouc-Slavonin, Czech Republic, for a family whose main request was for a high level of privacy. The project team developed this contemporary residence with three wings, which create a U-shaped floor plan that faces south, and an inner atrium.

The main entrance is in the east wing of the building, connected to the access road. A hallway leads to the workroom (occasionally used as a guest room), dressing room, shower and utility room with laundry.

By using minimalist furnishings and bright finishes, the architects achieved an airy and stylish modern feel. The house is equipped with a cooling system, electronic security and smart automation. [Photos and information provided by JVArchitekt; landscape architect: Eva Wagnerová]
