ARhit.BAAR Architecture completed the design of DentalMed, a dental clinic in Bucharest, Romania. The aim of the design team was to create a modern space with surprising angular volumes and enhanced by LED lighting. The office also had to be versatile and multi-functional.
The clinic consists of 10 dental areas, reception and waiting rooms, five bathrooms, a conference room and offices. The ideal balance between the exterior architecture and interior design was achieved by cohesive design down to the furnishings and custom elements.
The goal was to design a space that helped patients relax and forget about the pressure and tension commonly associated with a dental clinic. The atypical layout adds to the surprise factor.
“The desire was for a modern arrangement, a little aggressive, in contrast with the city’s atmosphere, but also in contrast with the idea of going to the dentist,” the architects said. “Not only the patients feel special, but also the personnel.” [Photos and information provided by DentalMed]
